For this swimwear photoshoot, we went to Blacks Beach near Torrey Pines Gliderport. It was an overcast day but that gave us bright, even lighting. The sand there is lighter than beaches in central San Diego so it acts almost like an enormous reflector to help fill in shadows. You get massive sky and ocean views and a sprawling beach flanked by tall cliffs. I love using this location for another reason… Part of it is a nude beach, so having a few random naked dudes helps keep the tourists away.
My friend Ryan from Ramble & Shred came along and shot these behind the scenes photos as I helped the new model relax, find new poses and create a vibe. I also included a few photos from my cameras. Check it out!
