I’ve been playing drums since 4th grade. Pretty much all of my creative pursuits since high school have revolved around me being in a band. So it’s only natural that I’ve been getting into photographing concerts. And this one was quite the event.
The Mustache Bash is an annual funk/disco theme party, complete with amazing retro outfits and both fake & real mustaches and afros. Having been in love with the 1970s since high school, this event was even more of a perfect fit. So I grew out a handlebar mustache, puffed up my fro and put on my jivin’est threads.
Orgone is a 60s/70s era funk soul band based in Los Angeles. They put on an amazing, high energy show. If you ever get a chance, go see them live!
